It is a common woody flower species in South China. Because of its beautiful plants, bright fruits and strong adaptability to the environment, it often appears in garden applications. Because of its superior and elegant shape, it is often used to make bonsai or potted plants to decorate windowsills, hallways, venues, etc.

Growth habit:

The southern bamboo should be watered dry and wet. Water frequently in dry season to keep the soil moist; In summer, water once a day and spray on the leaf surface for 2-3 times to keep the leaf surface moist and prevent the leaf tip from scorching and damaging the beauty. When flowering, pay special attention to watering to prevent the basin soil from drying, and spray water on the ground to improve the air humidity, so as to improve the pollination rate. In winter, the plant is in semi dormant state. Do not make the basin soil too wet. The watering time should be in the morning and evening in summer and at noon in winter. During the growth period of Nantian bamboo, thin fertilizer should be applied to the fine seedlings about half a month (organic fertilizer containing more phosphorus should be applied). Dry fertilizer shall be applied to adult plants three times a year, in May, August and October respectively. The third time shall be applied when they are moved into the room for overwintering. The fertilizer can be cake fertilizer and sesame paste residue after full fermentation. Generally, the amount of fertilizer applied in the first and second times should be less, and the amount of fertilizer applied in the third time can be increased. During the growth period, the sprouting branches and dense branches of the root shall be cut off, and the branches with longer fruit ears shall be cut off, and 1 or 2 lower branches shall be left to ensure the beautiful plant shape and facilitate flowering and fruiting.

Curing method:

In spring, the germination of Tianzhu requires sufficient light and humid environment, so it is not necessary to shade; After July, it should be placed in a cool shade, and return after the beginning of autumn; Move indoors in winter, and the soil in the basin is slightly dry for overwintering. In terms of fertilization, from February, once or twice a month, until July; Cake fertilizer and bone meal fertilizer should be used alternately, and should not be too much or too thick. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be sprayed once at the end of May. The implementation of the above methods shall be considered comprehensively. This method is applicable to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
