Gardenia jasminoides Ellis (scientific name: Gardenia jasminoides Ellis) alias: Yellow Gardenia, mountain gardenia and white toad. It is a gardenia shrub of Rubiaceae, 0.3-3 meters high; The shoots are often short hairy, and the branches are cylindrical and gray. The leaves are opposite, leathery, rarely papery, with a few of 3 whorls. The leaves are various in shape, often glabrous on both sides, bright green on the top and dark on the bottom.

Growth habit:

It likes warm and humid climate, good sunshine but can not withstand strong sunshine. It is suitable for growing in loose, fertile, well drained and light viscous acidic soil. It has strong resistance to harmful gases, strong sprouting power and shear resistance. It is a typical acidic flower.

Curing method:

Gardenia likes the air to be moist, and it should be watered properly during the growth period. Usually, the basin can be watered once the soil turns white. It is dry and hot in summer. Spray on the leaves twice to three times a day to increase the air humidity and help the plants cool down. However, after the flower buds appear, the water should not be too much to avoid falling buds. It is better to dry the water in winter to prevent the root rot.
