Tieshanping Forest Park is located in the east of the main city of Chongqing. It is located in the middle of the Tongluo mountain range and the hinterland of Liangjiang New District. It is adjacent to the fish recovery Industrial Park of Liangjiang New District in the East, the Yangtze River in the south, facing Nanshan across the river, the Cuntan bonded port area in the west, and Yufeng mountain in the north of Chongqing.
Tieshanping Forest Park has a total area of 14.93 square kilometers and a maximum elevation of 583.9 meters. The park has a monk official ancient temple and an ancient battlefield site. There are also "ten scenes of iron mountain" such as the gongs facing the sky, the monk official distant bell, the gongs ringing in the valley, the Zen Garden listening to the rain, the Tieshan holy spring, the suojiang site, the flower field looking for incense, the Yunling Range Rover, the grass and wild star sky and the Songying river moon.
In April 2014, Tieshanping Forest Park was rated as a national AAAA tourist attraction.
On October 23, 2016, Tieshanping Forest Park was listed in the second batch of "China forest oxygen bar".
On September 20, 2019, Tieshanping Forest Park was awarded the honorary title of "national greening model unit" by the national Greening Committee.
